Jennie Menzie joined Cumberland Trust in 2012 and serves as Executive Vice President, Director of Strategic Planning, and Assistant General Counsel. Jennie leads and manages the external and internal strategic initiatives for Cumberland Trust. In this role, she oversees Cumberland’s long range planning goals, finding innovative solutions to create synergies throughout the organization and providing corporate focus on initiatives that support market growth and continued commitment to customer service. Additionally, as Assistant General Counsel, Jennie advises on legal fiduciary and corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining Cumberland Trust, Jennie served as Vice President at Thompson & Associates, working in the area of charitable estate planning. Her past experience includes Assistant General Counsel of WebMD Envoy, Senior Tax Consultant at Arthur Andersen, and practicing attorney with the firm of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis. Jennie is a licensed attorney.
Jennie holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Auburn University. She received her J.D. from Vanderbilt School of Law and holds a Masters in Taxation (LL.M.) from the University of Florida School of Law. She is a Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning from the Institute of Charitable Estate Planning.
