Phillip Burnett joined the Estate Administration team as a Trust Administrator in 2018. Phillip assists in the administration of post-mortem estates and works with clients and beneficiaries to understand the steps of the estate process. Prior to joining Cumberland Trust, Phillip worked as an intern on Capitol Hill for U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (Mississippi). He assisted the senator’s staff in the drafting of legislative documents, helped prepare for Senate Appropriation Committee meetings, and learned about the legislative process from behind the scenes.

Phillip holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management from the University of Mississippi. He is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute Trust School.
