Cumberland Trust, Nashville-based independent trust company, announced changes to its Administration, Corporate, and Operations leadership meant to maximize growth while continuing to offer best-in-class trust and estate administration to clients. Cumberland Trust named the following new roles to its Trust Administration and Corporate teams:
- Chris Buckley to Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Head of Administration
- Caroline Bradshaw to Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Administration
- Lori Thoeny to Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Corporate Strategy
Previously, Buckley, Bradshaw and Thoeny served as Managing Directors of Trust Administration. Their new roles reflect the strengths and interests of each. Buckley will oversee the day to day management of the entire Administration team, which includes Personal Trust Administration, Distinctive Care Trust Administration and Estate Administration. Bradshaw will continue in her role as Senior Trust Officer and work closely with the Business Development Team to evaluate new opportunities. Thoeny’s transition to a corporate role will allow her to work closely with marketing, strategy, corporate initiatives and company processes to identify solutions across all departments.
Rounding out the Administration team, Alex Gillott will continue to serve as Vice President & Director, Personal Trust Administration and Rachel Fuqua will continue to serve as Vice President & Director, Estate Administration.

Jernigan’s new role includes an audit function. With this transition, Mark Cavender will assume the day to day management of the Operations team as Vice President and Operations Manager. Nivison’s expanded role reflects her more than 20 years of experience with operations, project management and software programs in trust administration.
