Cumberland Trust is pleased to announce the promotion of Charlotte English to Vice President and Director of Special Needs Trust Administration. English joined Cumberland Trust in 2013 and will now lead the company’s growing Special Needs Trust Administration team in Nashville, TN.
Cumberland Trust has entered a high-growth phase with $5 billion in client assets under administration and 115 employees and regional offices located in Atlanta, Austin, Chattanooga, Dallas, Knoxville, Memphis, Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Tampa-St. Pete. This significant growth is attributed in part to Cumberland Trust’s expanding top service area in Special Needs Trusts—serving beneficiaries with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
“Charlotte has been a dedicated and valuable member of our Special Needs Trust Administration team for many years. I am confident that with her extensive experience she will lead the Special Needs Trust Administration team well,” said Joseph K. Presley, Chairman, President and CEO of Cumberland Trust.
English is a native of Nashville and earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a minor in Business. She holds a J.D. from Nashville School of Law.
“Cumberland Trust was founded 20 years ago to offer high-level service to families seeking to preserve their legacy. Our growing Special Needs Trust Administration practice is a testament to our priority on service and the relationships we have built with our clients and their professional advisors”, added Presley.
“While many large companies don’t have the flexibility to properly manage the hands-on, nurturing work that goes into Special Needs Trusts, Cumberland Trust has a dedicated and focused team that is committed to this unique area of trust administration,” added Jennie Menzie, Chief Operating Officer & Corporate Counsel.
The Cumberland Trust team focuses on families they serve rather than investment management, giving them the opportunity to excel in both traditional and Special Needs Trust administration.
