Matt Skeens joined Cumberland Trust as a Trust Administrator in 2022. In this role, Matt works with the personal trust administration team to support individuals and families, along with their financial, legal, and tax advisors. Matt focuses on being responsive, attentive, and understanding in order to build relationships with the clients and families he serves. Prior to joining Cumberland Trust, he worked as a Senior Relationship Banker at Truist Bank. Previously, Matt Co-Chaired the Paul E. Skeens Scramble for HELP, a golf event that helped raise proceeds for scholarships for need-based, learning-disabled students at Marshall University.

Matt holds a B.A. in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Public Communications from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Outside of work, Matt has enjoyed coaching youth golf and basketball, and is an avid Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Reds fan.
