Jean Jackson joined the Cumberland Trust team in 2012. As Vice President and Business Development Officer, Jean works with families and their financial, legal, and tax advisors in Alabama, Chattanooga, and Kentucky. Jean helps families find personalized trust and/or estate administration services to fit their needs. Previously, she worked in Cumberland Trust’s compliance and new accounts division, supporting new clients during the transfer and onboarding of trust accounts. Prior to joining Cumberland Trust, Jean worked in the financial sector specializing in municipal securities. She was an assistant vice president in Municipal Bond Underwriting for Robinson-Humphrey, Atlanta; Municipal Bond Marketing for Merrill Lynch, New York/Atlanta; and she worked in Trust Company Bank’s Investment Division in Atlanta.
Jean holds a B.S. in Business Management/Finance from Tulane University. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for St. Mary’s Sewanee: The Ayres Center for Spiritual Development retreat center and for St. Bernard Academy in Nashville. She also serves on the Steering Committee for Contemplative Outreach of Middle Tennessee, volunteers with Better Decisions One on One Mentoring Program in the Tennessee Prisons for Women, and is a member of Nashville CABLE and the League of Women Voters. Additionally, she is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Nashville and a Stephen Minister.
